Each year during our chartering exercise, the BSA will ask the Cub Scout Pack leadership team to make some specific commitments regarding the quality of their Pack's program for the following charter year. These commitments are in ten (10) specific operational areas of Pack Program delivery. Then, during the chartering exercises of the following year they are asked to report on their performance against the commitments that were made the year previous. The Cub Scout Pack National Quality Unit Award is granted to Cub Scout Packs that achieve (a minimum) of six operational quality commitments out of the ten. Completion of four (4) specific commitments are mandatory, plus at least two (2) additional commitments.
